Online Course Enrolment Procedures

Students are required to activate and login their mySCE account to perform online course enrolment.

  1. Login

    Go to https://mysce.hkbu.edu.hk/mysce, enter your student no. and password, then click "Login". First time users are required to activate their accounts. Please refer to the "Procedures for Account Activation and Login" for details.

  2. Select section

    Click "Enrol a Course" tab page and then "My Outstanding Courses" or "Search a Course".

    • 2.1 My Outstanding Courses - A list of your programme required courses which you have not yet enrolled will be displayed and you may search the available section(s) by clicking the "Find Sections" button.

    • 2.2 Search for a Course - You may enter the searching criteria to search the section(s) you wish to enrol. You can enrol courses which are not your programme required courses as well.

  3. Continue to select another course

    Select another course by clicking "Add Course" or "Add Outstanding Course" button. Repeat Step 2 to add courses. Click "Next" after you have finished selecting course(s).

  4. Check and review section(s) selected

    Pay attention to the "Important Note", if any, and make appropriate actions accordingly. Please note that sections will be automatically removed if you have already enrolled in it or if it has time clashes with any section(s) you have enrolled for more than 25% of the total course hours.

    Click "Next" to Proceed.

  5. Double check the section(s) you wish to enrol. Go to "My Selected Sections" for any amendments.

    Please read the "Enrolment Information for Short Courses & General Information for Short Course Students" on our website before confirmation. Please note that confirmed seat reservation CANNOT be changed.

    Click "Confirm" to send your application to SCE.

  6. Select Payment Method

    You may pay by Visa, MasterCard, China UnionPay Card or PPS immediately. You may also generate a bill and pay by any one of the bill payment methods.

    • 6.1.1 A bill will be generated if you select to pay by bill payment methods. Print or Save the bill for your reference.

    • 6.1.2 Pay the tuition fee according to the payment instructions before the payment deadline as stipulated on the bill.

    • 6.2.1 If you choose to pay by Visa, MasterCard or China UnionPay Card, you will be diverted to a Secure Payment Page operated by Joint Electronic Teller Services Ltd. Prepare your credit card, input the card information to complete the payment procedure.

    • 6.2.2 If you choose to pay by PPS online, you will be diverted to PPS’s Payment Page. Input your PPS internet account number and password to complete the payment procedure. For information on how to open a PPS account, how to set up a PPS Internet password and system requirements, please visit http://www.ppshk.com.

    • 6.2.3 The following screen will appear if the transaction is completed.

Check your enrolment for the current term

You may check the enrolment status of your applications for the current term. Login your mySCE account, click "My Enrolment" tab page and then click "My Enrolment for the current term"

Notes:

  1. Students who have successfully submitted an online application will receive individual notifications by email.
  2. Registration Slip(s) and Official Receipt(s) will be sent to you by mail within two weeks after the payment has been confirmed. Applicants having received the Registration Slip may assume their applications successful unless they receive any notification for cancellation of courses before term commencement.
  3. Please note that your application will only be processed upon receipt of FULL payment before the payment deadline. If the outstanding tuition fee has not been settled before the payment deadline, the seat(s) reserved will be canceled at once.
  4. If you are eligible to apply for tuition fee discount offered by SCE, please fill in the application form which can be downloaded at www.sce.hkbu.edu.hk/forms/pte/SCE-R-011.pdf and submit the form together with the supporting document via SCE center offices or by mail to the Short Courses Admission Unit, School of Continuing Education, HKBU, 2/F, Franki Centre, 320 Junction Road, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon before the application deadline for short courses. You are required to pay full fee first and the discounted tuition fee will be reimbursed to you within one month after term commencement.
  5. No fee will be refunded except for cancellation of courses or rejected applications. In these circumstances, tuition fee would be refunded within one month after term commencement to
    1. your credit card account for payment made by Visa, MasterCard and China UnionPay Card; or
    2. your PPS linked account for payment made by PPS Shop & Buy Service; or
    3. your bank account specified on the refund reply slip.
